Instructor Features
New Instructor Type - External & Hidden (NEW)
Instructors can now be tagged as External and Hidden which prevents their name from appearing in the instructor selection dropdown when creating a new session. Learn more about Instructors here.
Course / Class Features
Course Approval Forms (NEW)
Forms can now serve as gatekeepers for courses. Before a learner can access course materials, they can be required to complete a form that must be approved by the instructor. If the instructor approves the form, the learner will gain access to the course files and training. If the instructor rejects the form, the learner is issued store credit for the session cost. Learn more about setting up a course pre-approval here.
System email notification triggers have been developed to support the automation and scalability of this feature.
Support for Course Failures (NEW)
Instructors now have the ability to mark a learner as failed. If a learner is marked as ‘Failed’ they no longer have access to the course material and will see a message showing they have been marked as failed.
A course failure email notification trigger has been added to automatically alert learners that they have been marked as failed.
The administrator completion report is now filterable by a failure status.
The user transcript and customer-facing course completions page have been updated to reflect failures.
Note: Clients can opt to show failures alongside completions or just completions on the Course Completion page.
Session Cancellation (NEW)
With this feature, instructors have the ability to cancel their own session. The system also allows for auto-cancellation within a designated cancellation window based on minimum class size. In both instances, store credit will be automatically issued to the purchaser, and the session retains the roster information should an instructor need to reschedule a student.
Improved Roster Management

Security Updates
Anti Automation Protections
To combat the ongoing challenge of managing automated attacks, several new processeshave been introduced. Rate limiting is now present that restricts a user’s ability to browse alarge number of pages in a short period of time. Exceeding the current threshold will result ina CAPTCHA being presented to the user. To prevent against automated registrations withinthe system, the account registration page will now allow X number of accounts to be createdvia a single IP address within a specific period of time before the user is prompted to verifythey are a human. The payment page has also been updated to address the risk of cardingattacks. Accounts that attempt to process a suspicious number of failed transactions withina specific period of time will automatically have their session terminated and their accountmarked as locked.
Firewall / Load Balancing Security Updates
Updates have been made to direct all traffic to flow through AWS Load Balancer and Web ApplicationFirewall with new security and filtering rules. This allows advanced traffic inspection such as ratelimiting, automatic IP banning via our security monitoring software, and the ability to leverage 3rd partythreat intelligence such as suspicious IP lists.
