Pages & Navigation

Overview

LearningCart includes a full-featured content management system (CMS), allowing you to completely control the look and feel of your website. When you are first getting started with our platform you will want to update the content on key pages such as the home page, as well as customize the navigation menu that users see.

Navigation Menu & Root Directory
To access the CMS portion of the system, navigate to ‘Website > Page & Navigation’. This area controls the website content that is available to users on your LearningCart site. You will see a tree that represents how all the content on your site is structured. This is referred to as the root directory. The root directory includes content visible in your navigation menu, hidden content, and page fragments. Page fragments are individual pieces of content within a page such as your website header or footer. Right click on any item or click the drop-down arrow that appears on the right when you hover over an item to initiate the context menu. From there you can chose to edit the selected item, add a new subpage, delete the selected item, move the selected item, or reorder the root directory.

Editing Pages

To edit a page, simply click on the desired page in the root directory. If your page was set up with the content builder editor type, you will click ‘Launch Content Builder’ to make design edits.

Adding New Pages

To add a new page or menu item, hover over any item in the root directory and select the drop-down arrow that appears to the right. Select ‘Add Subpage’. You will then be prompted to select the type of item or page you want to add. Every item falls within one of three categories: a document (web page), a link, or a page fragment.
